Mikołaj Rogoziński psychoterapeuta, mediatorAbout me

My name is Mikołaj Rogoziński. I am a psychotherapist, which means I professionally help people overcome their life’s crises. I was born in 1981 and educated at leading Polish universities, such as Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. I’m expanding my knowledge all the time, because I believe that only keeping up with the times allows you to be effective in working with patients. And efficiency is one of my favourite words, which also defines me as a specialist. The continually updated list of trainings that I have completed can be found HERE (link).

I am a member of the Polish Psychiatric Association, of Scientific Section of Family Therapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association as well as a member of the Polish Psychological Association.

I was born in 1981 in Bydgoszcz and despite living in Inowrocław now, I know this city like the back of my hand. In the spare time I read books eagerly, go to the seaside or on short trips abroad. I walk, cook (I like to eat healthily) and play sports.

I really enjoy going to concerts at the Philharmonic. I like theatre as well.

My work is based on proven and worldly recognized leading therapeutic schools. As my favourite work techniques I would indicate the following methods:

  • Ericksonian therapy,
  • systemic therapy,
  • narrative therapy.

I work on a short-term and medium-term basis. This means that the most crucial for me is to achieve the desired result within the shortest possible time. How long does a therapy last exactly? Certainly it depends on the client’s problems. Most often, however, psychotherapy lasts from a few weeks to a year. I always adjust the therapy principles to the individual needs of the client. I personally believe that every patient has the resources that enable them to overcome crisis and adversity. The role of a psychotherapist is to assist in discovering those resources. The session lasts 60 minutes (individual psychotherapy or couple psychotherapy) or 90 minutes (family psychotherapy).

At the beginning there is always one to three consultation meetings, during which I gather all the necessary information needed to help the client in the best possible way during psychotherapy. In the case of psychotherapy, individual sessions are usually held once a week. For couples, sessions are held once a week or every two weeks. As for family therapy, sessions take place once every two or three weeks.

As I mentioned, I deeply believe that a good psychotherapist should spend a lot of time and energy on improving their working methods. During the past years I have completed numerous trainings and workshops, and also took part in the following conferences:

  • ‘Ethical problems in psychotherapy’ (conference, Cracow 2019),
  • ‘Psychotherapy for overeating problems’ (training, Sopot 2019)
